Ultar Meadow 5000m

Ultar Meadow is a beautiful, high-altitude grassland located at the base of Ultar Sar (7,388m), one of the most prominent peaks in the Karakoram Range. It offers breathtaking views of towering mountains, including Ladyfinger Peak (6,000m) and Bojahagur Duanasir Glacier. This area is a popular trekking destination from Karimabad, Hunza, providing a serene and remote experience.

Hoon Pass 4500m

Hoon Pass is a high-altitude mountain pass that connects Ultar Meadow to the northern ridges of the Karakoram Range. It offers panoramic views of the surrounding peaks and glaciers, making it a must-visit for experienced trekkers.

Itinerary

Day 1. Islamabad

Arrival at Islamabad International Airport, after short rest visit Rawalpindi & Islamabad. 500m, Hotel

Day 2. Islamabad–Gilgit

Flight to Gilgit or drive to Chilas (1265M)  via Babusar Pass-4100M or Besham (10-12 hours). 1500m, Hotel

Day 3. ChilasHunza

Drive to Hunza (3 hours from Gilgit & 6 hours from Chilas). 2438m, Hotel

Day 4. Hunza Vallley

Explore the unique culture Hunza. 2438m, Hotel

Day 5. Karimabad–Ultar Meadow

Trek to Ultar Meadow. 4000m, Tents

Day 6. Ultar Meadow

Free day at Ultar Meadow or sightseening of Base Camp. 4000m, Tents

Day 7. Ultar Meadow–Hoon Pass

Cross Hoon Pass (4,500m) and enjoy panoramic views of Ultar Sar, Passu Peak, and Shisper Glacier. Tents 

Day 8. Hoon Pass–Karimabad

Trek back to Karimabad. 2438m, Hotel

Day 9. Karimaabad–Baskochi Meadow

Jeep safari from karimabad to baskochi meadow. 2700m, Hotel

Day 10. Upper Hunza–Gilgit

Drive to Gilgit. Hotel

Day 11. Gilgit–Naran Valley

Flight to Islamabad or drive to Chilas/Naran.

Day 12. Naran Valley–Islamabad

Drive to Islamabad (6 hours). Hotel

Day 13. Islamabad

Day at leisure or visit Taxila, the antient center of Gandhara Civilizaiton. 

Day 14. Hotel–Airport

Transfer to Islamabad Airport for the departure flight  on board
