Sikhism is a monotheistic religion that originated in the Punjab region of the Indian Subcontinent around the end of the 15th century. It is one of the youngest religion in the world. Pakistan homes to numerous Sikh shrines, this pilgrimage tour is especially made for the Sikh fraternity so they can pay homage to those holy shrines. The tour will start from Islamabad, is the capital of Pakistan, with its twin city of Rawalpindi, about thirty miles from Rawalpindi, is the Shrine of Panja Sahib. The shrine is considered to be important as the handprint of the founder of Sikhism, Guru Nanak, is believed to be imprinted on a boulder at the Gurdwara. In Peshawar, we will visit Gurdwara Bhai Joga Singh, Gurdwara Rori Sahib near Gujranwala, & Gurdwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur in Narowal, one of the holiest site in Sikhism. It is built on the historic site where the founder of Sikhism settled and assembled the Sikh community. Then to Gurdwara Sacha Sauda and Janam Asthan or Nankana Sahib near Sheikupura. It is named after the first Guru, who was born here, hence the most important religious site for them. In Lahore we will visit Gurdwara Dera Sahib, Gurdwara Chuna Mandi and Gurdwara Sheed Ganj.
