Mr. Ashraf Aman

Founder

Ashraf Aman is the first Pakistani to have climbed K-2, which is the second highest mountain in the world. He has over 45 years of experience in the field of travel and tourism management. He has received the “Pride of Performance” award from the President of Pakistan, one of the highest Medals of Honor in the country. In 1999, he also received the “Uno Dei Cento” (1 in 100) award in Milan, Italy and a number of other international awards for his work. He has been instrumental in organizing tours and adventures to remote destinations in the country for more than four decades. Mr. Ashraf has been interested in hiking and adventure from an early age. In his school years, he was awarded the “Himalayan Tiger” award by the German Mountaineering team when he played an important role in attempting Nanga Parbat, a famous mountain in Pakistan, back in 1962.

Mr. Naiknam Karim

Managing Director

The Managing Director of ATP is a renowned travel and tourism professional who has extensive experience in the business. His areas of expertise include operation management, human resources management, finance, marketing, planning and research. He is a target-oriented professional, a strategic planner, and a resilient crisis manager. He graduated with a Master of Science degree in Tourism Management and Planning from Bournemouth University in the United Kingdom. He also holds several certificates and diplomas from national and international institutions. Mr. Karim has conducted research to explore the environmental impact of trekking groups and mountaineering expeditions in the Baltoro region, which concluded with a set of carefully considered recommendations for policymakers and environment managers.

 

Field Staff

ATP is very selective when employing field staff. Most field staff members are locals from the tourist destinations. Our guides are very experienced and have in-depth knowledge of the areas where they operate. They are fluent in local dialects, making it easier for them to understand different cultures and interpret the language for tourists. Our guides can also speak to tourists effectively, which vastly improves the experience. They can speak in English, German, Spanish, Italian, French, Russian, Turkish, Chinese, and Japanese. Our camping staff are synonymous with high quality services. They are well-trained, experienced and specialize in Pakistani, Chinese, Continental and European cuisine.
