We researched multiple tour operators in Pakistan for this expedition and ultimately decided to go with ATP for multiple reasons:
– ATP provided timely and accurate responses when we were communicating early on to finalize the details of the expedition
– ATP gave a detailed and accurate quote of all expenses and adjusted when the scope changed
ATP was able to offer a better price than the other quotes we received and provided the most details, making us confident in the service they were able to offer Once we decided to work with ATP, they made the process smooth and efficient as we finalized expedition details. We had our original flight to Pakistan canceled and ATP quickly gave us essential information that helped us to rebook a flight. As the overall schedule changed due to the flight cancelation, ATP was flexible and quick to adapt to the new changes.
ATP offered a professional and personal experience once we arrived in Pakistan. All details were covered and everything went smoothly. Our guide Salman and our cook Nadir were both very experienced, extremely professional, fun to interact with, and spoke great English. All of this created an excellent experience and strongly contributed to making the expedition a success.
ATP is one of the oldest tour operators in Pakistan and Naiknam Karim has decades of experience working within tour operations. These factors become very important if there are issues during an expedition, as ATP has experience solving many different problems. We did
not encounter any big issues but I am confident ATP would have handled it well.
I highly recommend ATP for others that are looking to go on an expedition to Pakistan. Their experience, professionalism, many connections, and attention to detail create a very good experience! If we come to Pakistan for future expeditions, we would definitely choose ATP again.

We wanted to give our sincere thanks for a wonderful two weeks. The trip was absolutely fabulous and we truly have no complaints. Mr. Bashir was a great tour guide and took great care of us. We enjoyed his passion for the local culture and mountains as well as his expertise and his sense of humour. Mr. Ibrahim was a great driver, we felt very safe in his hands. The cooks and their crews were great. We all agree that we were treated like royalty.

Thank you for helping us to make a tour that fit our time schedule and interests and for being flexible even as the trip went along. We really enjoyed the hike up to Passu glacier and the 3 day trek to Rakaposhi base camp.

It was fascinating to see and learn about the many different cultures in Chitral and GB. Nature in Northern Pakistan is beyond words. We were constantly blown away by the magnitude of the creation around us.

We will highly recommend that our friends and family visit Pakistan to meet the wonderful people and see the amazing mountains and valleys. Some of us plan to write some articles for the local newspapers about our trip. God willing, we will return for another trip in the future.

The best trekking and mountaineering agency in Pakistan, IMHO! Super organized from the first contact until they got us on the plane home. Ashraf Aman started the agency over thirty years ago, and it was clear that their guides and agency have a ton of experience. Excellent communication, and they treated us extremely well, particularly at the end of our trek – we had a couple of extra days in Islamabad since our flights worked out, and they took us to fantastic restaurants & took us on a tour of ancient ruins. While we were on the Gondogoro La trek, the guides were very attentive to our requests – we made minor changes to our schedule several times based on the health of our crew and the weather forecasts that they provided us with. And the food on the trek was second to none!! All of our trekking group members had been on other treks in Asia & South America, and we all agreed that the food on this trek was the best we had every had!! ATP was recommended to us by a good friend who is a world class mountaineer and had used them over 20 times. We also found that they were very good value for the money that we paid – you might find somebody cheaper, but you won’t find anybody better.
