Overview

Khosar Gang is a mountain peak located in the Karakoram Range of northern Pakistan, specifically in the region of Gilgit-Baltistan. It's part of the broader range of peaks that surround the upper reaches of the Hunza Valley. The peak stands at an elevation of around 6,000 meters (19,685 feet) and is less well-known compared to some of the more prominent peaks in the region, like Rakaposhi or K2.

It's a popular destination for climbers seeking less crowded challenges in the Karakoram. The trek to the base of Khosar Gang offers stunning views of the surrounding glaciers, valleys, and other towering peaks, making it a scenic adventure for trekkers as well.

Day 1. Islamabad

Arrival in Islamabad, transfer to hotel. 500m, Hotel

Day 2. Islamabad–Chilas

Flight to Skardu (1 hour) or drive to Chilas (10-12 hours).  2250m, Hotel

Day 3. Chilas–Skardu

Reserve day in Skardu or drive from Chilas to Skardu (7-8 hours). 2300m, Hotel

Day 4. Skardu

Day for final preparations. 2300m, Hotel
